A birthday party and me-morial service, every ten years, since 2007
Still Alive at…
In 2007 I told my kids I was going to throw myself a “Still Alive at 65” birthday party and me-morial service, and then do it again every ten years. It is the only long-range plan I have ever made. Here is how it's going.

The rules
How the series works
There are two rules, and both come from the 2007 letter.
One. It happens every ten years, on my birthday, December 30.
Two. It is a birthday party and a me-morial service at the same time. That way I can be around to hear what people have to say, while it still might do me some good.
Everything else is negotiable, including whether it happens at all. See 75.
